Schools Programmes

Our programmes are based outdoors and have therapy and developmental change at their core.

By being outside and participating in challenging and fun group activities, pupils will feel a deeper connection to the therapeutic aims. Our programmes will help pupils learn about their resilience, whilst enhancing the development of group social skills and individual emotional intelligence. Pupils will also increase personal responsibility, learn new skills, and gain a greater appreciation for our wilderness environments.

Our school's programmes are suitable for ages 8 - 16 years old and include:

  • Young people attending school or college

  • Young people unable to attend school or college

  • School groups

  • Clubs

  • Family and private groups

We offer outreach programs to include vulnerable students, ensuring benefits from this transformative experience can also meet the needs of those pupils who struggle to attend school or college.

A 4-dimensional impact assessment is completed at the end of every programme. This measures the scale of the impact the programme has had on each individual, analysing social skills, emotional issues, hyperactivity and conduct. The measured impact is based on standardised questionnaires, alongside anecdotal and observed evidence. This provides a robust indication of progress over the course of the programme.

Group sizes between 3 - 6 young people.

Prices start from £2,500 for a therapeutic programme. Or get in touch to enquire about a tailor made course to suit your needs and timescales.

Clare Lake, Headteacher

"The Wilderness Experience for out P5 pupils has been fantastic. The feedback I have had from pupils, staff and parents as been so positive and I would say it has been a very powerful experience. The girls had been separated due to composite classes and we had looked to get them back together and to gel as a unit.

The original idea had been to support a particular individual as she had come to us from another school with intense anxiety and we wanted to build her confidence. However by working with such a small group other needs surfaced and this was built into the program. Each girl said they loved being together and outside. They really looked forward to the sessions and being together. The activities were fun and allowed them to be themselves. One parent said the programme had had a massive impact on them and how they had been delighted to see their childs confidence grow.”
